sportscotland is looking for a Communications Project Manager (Media) who will deliver media and communications projects, develop content and manage our media relations.
Working in our Communications team, you will provide a full proactive and reactive media relations service including handling press enquiries and preparing the appropriate response/media lines to take, so we will be looking for someone with relevant prior experience and a good understanding of the news agenda and public affairs in Scotland. You will also undertake on-call duties on a rota basis to deal with urgent out-of-hours issues.
In this role you will deliver exciting media and communications projects, so should have strong project management skills including a keen eye for detail and a pro-active, can-do attitude. You must also have strong and confident interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with stakeholders.
To be successful in this position you will have strong copy and editing skills across online and offline platforms, excellent communication skills, and should be degree qualified in Marketing, Media, or Communications studies, or have equivalent relevant experience.
